Gemma has over 15 years experience in HR and business and is a graduate of the Australian institute of Company Directors. Over Gemma’s career to date, she has led talent acquisition, organisational development and diversity & inclusion functions. Gemma has also previously been nominated for the inspirational role model and diversity champion categories at the Australian LGBTI Awards.
Gemma is passionate about creating opportunities for people to further themselves in a way that lets their true self shine through. Diversity and equal opportunities play a big part in Gemma’s life and she has participated in Mardi Gras, the midsumma pride March and joined marches to support marriage equality.
Gemma lives with her wife, son and their two dogs (an adopted greyhound and a spoodle) in Melbourne’s west. For fun, Gemma enjoys exploring Melbourne and regional Victoria with her digital SLR camera in hand looking for new adventures and good local markets. On rainy days, she grabs her son, popcorn and a blanket and watches Disney films.
Having been a supporter of wear it purple day since 2015, joining the board is a very exciting opportunity for Gemma.
