WELCOME TO OUR
ARTS + CULTURE HUB.

Here at Wear it Purple, we know that the importance of LGBTQIA+ representation for rainbow young folk cannot be overstated. We’ve funded over $100k of arts and culture projects for LGBTQIA+ youth so far… From short films to web series to documentaries to queer storytelling workshops to a travelling queer venue to writing groups to grassroots community events. We’ve seen first-hand the impact on the lives and wellbeing of queer youth when they’re given the financial support to create spaces and tell their stories. These projects challenge harmful stereotypes, foster a sense of community and drive progress towards equality. By promoting greater visibility, representation can help create a more inclusive and accepting world for all.

And we’re only just getting started…

DO YOU HAVE AN ARTS AND CULTURE PROJECT FOR OR BY A LGBTQIA+ YOUNG PERSON AND NEED SOME HELP KICKING-STARTING IT?

QUEER FUTURES FUND is a new fund to help create more spaces and projects BY and FOR Rainbow Youth. We are dedicated to creating more accessible ways to fund your projects -  you don’t need a long list of credits or experience! You just need a project that involves a young LGTBQIA+ person and benefits the lives of queer youth! And if you’re Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander or your project has a Regional or Rural focus, half our grants will go towards your projects. For Under 18s, we even have special smaller grants called
FUTURE ME FUND for up to $1000 each! Applications open 15th May and close on June 15th at midnight.
