Lulkbudia Mclean Gerrard

Arts and Culture Fellowship Recipient 2024

27 | GENDER-FLUID QUEER | THEY/THEM

Garni Woora (What now?), I’m Lulkbudia (or Lulk) a proud Miriwoong Gadjerong person from Kununurra in the East Kimberley of WA. I grew up on Miriwoong Dawang (Country) and moved to Boorloo (Perth) 5 years ago to study. 2 years into my degree I realised Uni wasn’t for me and found my passion as an artist, youth worker, Community Organiser and DJ.

Now I DJ with my sistagirl Sarah, hold events and DJ workshops for Mob and bring community together through CAMP. A passion project for Queer Mob by Queer Mob where we go out on Country and connect with culture and each other. After being a recipient of the Wear It Purple Future Fund last year, I am excited to invest more time and love into Queer Creative community this year through the Wear It Purple Fellowship.
