Queer Futures Fund

The Queer Futures Fund is a grant program designed to empower and uplift LGBTQIA+SB young people aged between 18 to 26 years old. You can apply for a grant up to $15,000 to support an arts, culture and community based project as long as it is for and by LGBTQIA+SB youth.

Applications open 1st July to 19th August with recipients notified in November 2024.

4. SUPPORTING MATERIAL - EXPRESS YOURSELF

Sometimes it’s hard to translate your creativity into words and capture what your project is actually about. In this section you have the space to express your vision in your own unique way.

Every project needs a strong foundation, which is why we ask you to submit a project planthat outlines the tasks involved in your project and timeline of when you will plan to launch and complete it.

You can also share any other supporting materials to express your idea and vision.

Some examples of supporting materials include:

Pitch Document – Why is your project important to you and your target audience? What outcomes are you hoping to achieve?

Support Letters – Is there anyone in your community who is especially excited about your project and would like to express that to us?

Visual expressions – Photos and videos relating to your project. Copies of your art, poetry, workshop outlines, or shooting schedule - Whatever format your creative vision takes place as long as you can upload it to a google drive (or dropbox).

We can accept the following formats:

PDF (1-2 pages)
Video (1 minute)
Audio (1 minute)

Please upload your supporting material file to either Google Drive or Dropbox, and send us the link. It’s really important that the link can be accessed by any of our judges so make sure you set the general access settings to 'anyone with link'.
